Description

This master's program in Medical Microbiology and Immunology provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the microbial world and the host immune response to infectious diseases. Students will study fundamental and advanced principles of bacteriology, virology, mycology, and medical immunology, understanding the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases. Through a blend of theoretical lectures, hands-on laboratory training, and research projects, students will gain practical skills in the laboratory diagnosis of infectious agents and contribute to medical research. This qualifies them for diverse careers in clinical diagnostics, public health, medical research, and academia.

Admission Requirements

• Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Medical Technology, or Science (specifically Zoology or Botany).
• Applicants must have a minimum grade of "Good" in Microbiology.
• Applicants must meet all general eligibility requirements stipulated in the university's postgraduate studies regulations.
• Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview, which will be arranged in coordination with the Faculty of Medicine and University's Postgraduate Studies Administration.
• Applicants must be proficient in English language (reading and writing).
• Students of other nationalities may be accepted  provided they meet the following conditions:
• They satisfy all the previously mentioned admission requirements as per the postgraduate studies regulations.
• They hold legal residency in Libya for the entire duration of their studies.
• They commit to paying all tuition fees and associated study expenses.
